I am having fun playing with the "Woodland Fairies Panel designed by Barbara Tourtillotte for Clothworks.

This is the first stage click onto material section at bottom of this page for more information.

I carefully cut the nine square in the panel to the same size. Then I framed them in cream fabric and choose the bright pink Moda Marble for the corner stones.

Stage 2  I added borders same colour as sashings now I am going to work on stage 3

THE ALOHA QUILT Fabric designed by Jennifer Chiaverini for Red Rooster Fabrics

The bright colours of this pre-printed fabric help to brighten my day especially when the sun forgets to shine.

The centre of the quilt is the pre-printed fabric and I added the green fabric to frame and bind.  The second larger border I used the flower material to compliment.   I used Moda Calico for the backing and to quilt it I used the longarm pantagraph pattern WALLFLOWER by HERMOINE AGEE.   The finished size is 56" x 46"

The size of this project would be ideal for doing straight line quilting using masking tape as a quide on your sewing machine.

My Block of the month Flowers at the Mill will soon be up and running .  I am doing a Block of the Month with my quilt  "Flowers at the Mill".  This consists of 12 Blocks around a Central Block with setting triangles, Border and four corner squares.

My inspiration for this quilt was a visit to the wonderful gardens at Docton Mill, Hartland, Devon.   Whilst having a superb lunch there I decided I would go back home and design a quilt and below is the result.   My dear friend Mary Williams helped me, and kept me on track.  The quilt has been made-up three times two with a black background, one of which Mary hand appliqued with button hole stitch.  The other quilt with the pale background was machined.

For the Central Block and the surrounding 12 blocks There is an additional and seperate project.

This can be purchased in kit form, with the choice of a dark or a light background.  Or patterns only.

Please contact me if you are interested. Details will be posted shortly.

Photographs were taken in the restaurant at Docton Mills

GARDEN SONG panel designed by Nancy Holversen for Benertex

This would be great for several  different projects a gardening bag, small quilt to go in a conservatory or as I have done left the panel whole added backing and wadding quilted in a random large squiggle and bound it.  You can finish it off by adding a sleeve to the back or add some tab's for a rod to be inserted making it a lovely wall hanging.  Perfect present for the gardeners in your family.
