I am so excited as we are now stocking some of Pat Bravo's fantastic fabrics and patterns the vibrant colours and the quality of the fabric with it's high thread count is a joy to work with.

I have had great fun using fabric from her Dreaming in French Collection to make a quilt top using my 5 x 5 pattern design.   I used a lime green thread to quilt Petaline design by Hermoine Agee on my longarm which shows up really well on the purple backing.

Pictured below is a Free Pattern by Pat Bravo called Orchestra a copy of which is included with the purchase of the quilt kit.

Pat's design is a wonderful showcase for her

"Poetica " Collection

The Kit containing all the fabric needed

to complete the Quilt Top

is £95.00 plus Postage

(backing and wadding to be purchased seperately)

The finished size of the quilt is approx 97" x 84"

SHABBY CHIC WILDFLOWERS COLLECTION BY RACHEL  ASHWELL ".

.

I have just finished a quilt I started in the Braiding Workshop taken by my friend and teacher Jan Dodd using 2 1/2" pre-cut 2 1/2" strips from the entire range and 1 1/2 metres for the background and borders plus 3/4 meter for framing the braiding and binding from the Wildflowers collection.  I enjoyed using the Trapezoid 2 1/2" ruler designed by Rachel Cross in conjunction with Creative Grids. Those who took part had a productive and enjoyable day please contact me for more information.

ACCUQUILT

The Accuquilt has lots of wonderful die shapes from squares, triangles, strips ,flowers, leaves, circles, RickyTims Arabesque designs to the Rose of Sharon by Sharon Pederson together with a complete Alphabet. So many possibilities to mix and match to design a wonderful quilt and have the accuquilt cut out each piece accurately. I have a large collection of the dies and will be having special days for the hire of the machine and dies by the hour. Please contact me for more information either by e-mail or telephone 01288 321480.

Anna used the alphabet dies to personalise the bunting she was making at our last workshop, pictured below and with the left-over fabric she created two wonderful birthday cards

My inspiration for this quilt was a visit to the wonderful gardens at Docton Mill, Hartland, Devon. Whilst having a superb lunch there I decided I would go back home and design a quilt and below is the result. My dear friend Mary Williams helped me, and kept me on track. The quilt has been made-up three times two with a black background, one of which Mary hand appliqued with button hole stitch. The other quilt with the pale background was machined.
